I know I’m not the only one who saw this, but I just had to post it.
Because.
Of reasons.
With deference to the genius of David Bowie, here’s Space Oddity, recorded on Station. A last glimpse of the World.
Huge thanks in the making of the video to the talented trio of Emm Gryner, Joe Corcoran and Andrew Tidby, plus Evan Hadfield and all at the CSA.
Chris Hadfield does a cover (with a few tweaks) of Bowie’s “Space Oddity”.
Have a safe flight back to earth!
The 100% TRUE events of my evening, in a nutshell.
Was going to work, might have wasted time drawing some Pitch as a warm up, was going to rewatch some Korra episodes, when suddenly David Bowie and news of his new album appeared.

Then all productivity went away.
Can’t.
I can’t.
I forgot how to can’t.
AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH!!!
5:15 The Angels Have Gone | David Bowie
Ending the evening with this song <3
(Love the bass guitar)
there were no digital effects used in that shot. they actually had David Bowie hanging upsidedown on this rig system with his boot glued to the brick. then they just flipped him around and were like, ok David, don’t die.
For Labyrinth nostalgia <3

Bowie and Animation
While listening to some David Bowie music tonight, I was reminded he was involved or related to quite a few animated projects:
The title song for “Cool World”
the Title song for “When The Wind Blows” (a movie that’s also in my top choices for most depressing films ever)
Voice acting, as Malthazar in “Arthur and the Invisibles” (“Arthur et les Minimoys”)
I guess his presence as ”The sovereign” in Venture Bros also counts, ha ha!
I also remember seeing another silly little animated Bowie thing, but I can’t put my finger on it. He was wearing the Union Jack coat from “Earthling” if memory serves me right.
Edit: Thank you everyone that pointed it out: did a voice as the Lord Royal Highness in Atlantis SquarePantis.
Edit: I almost forgot: he is also attached to the lovely Christmas tale “The Snowman”, doing the voice of older James in the re-released version.
Anything else I’ve missed? Probably, but these are some of the most known.
And, something I’ve been hunting for for ages, a song he wrote for the Rugrats Movie called “Sky Life” and never released…as far as I know. If anyone has information on that last one, let me know!?
extrait de Bowie mania (Béatrice Ardisson)
One of my fave cover for Bowie’s song “This Is Not America”. Tango flavors.
As much as I would love Jean Dujardins in everything (see a few posts below), David Bowie would be a close second.
Maybe even first.
