If you HAVE read DELILAH DIRK AND THE TURKISH LIEUTENANT, you won’t be swayed by the glowing reviews it has received from Publisher’s Weekly, Kirkus Reviews, Booklist, and The School Library Journal (no link yet). You’ve formed your own opinion, maybe even a positive one,…

I am in! I want Tony to make ALL THE BOOKS.

What ktshy says!

DELILAH DIRK AND THE EASY MARK
Hide your treasure - that “Delilah Dirk-as-cat” comic that I’ve been hinting at for the past few weeks? It’s up right now on Tor.com! Click through and read the whole thing!
Confused about how this comic about a cat relates to Delilah Dirk and the Turkish Lieutenant - a book with relatively few cats (available August 27th)? Long story short, it’s an in-joke. Long story long:
If you’re familiar with The Turkish Lieutenant, you’ll notice I made the foolish mistake of featuring a human woman in the starring role. This error was brought to my attention during an episode of Jerzy Drozd’s Comics Are Great podcast. He was interviewing Calista Brill, the sensible and insightful editor at First Second with whom I worked on Delilah Dirk. She was explaining the type of give-and-take an editor may have with an author, and said, “for example, I would not ask Tony Cliff to replace the character of Delilah Dirk with a cat.” Hearing this and knowing it could only possibly be a passive-aggressive airing of grievances, I have tried to correct the error with this short comic, Delilah Dirk and the Easy Mark.
Enjoy!

Oh! I haven’t been sharing these on Tumblr (because I am not good at Internet), but I’ve been posting some teaser shots (like this one) over on Twitter. I’m making a little DD short story, and you’ll see it real soon.

*happy squeee!*

I hope that those of you who will be going to the show this year will have the time to drop by and say hello! The Flight booth has a few changes: look for us under the name Bolt City Production. You can see our location on the map, booth 2235, right in between Marvel and Sideshows Collectible.
We’ll have awesome artists once again this year! Kazu Kibuishi (Amulet), Scott C (The Great Showdowns), Jorge Cham (PHD comics), Michel Gagné (saga Of Rex, Insanely Twisted Shadow Planet) and Tony Cliff (Delilah Dirk).

(Edit: Book wise…I got nothing, sorry. But I do have a little story in the Explorer anthology that came out this past March!!)
So come on by, we’ll chat about anything Korra, Avatar the Last Airbender related and maybe…MAYBE a little something else I can hopefully announce soon.
